Biography
Psych-pop duo blends hip-hop beats, space-rock guitars, and big synths with pop hooks.
Bronze Groover, the Melrose, Massachusetts-based duo that alchemizes dark electro-pop from psych rock and modern pop.
Hunkered down in its own state-of-the art home studios—a repurposed barn and a specifically-tuned vocal recording space—the twosome created the immersive 13-song debut album Turning Brass, released in August 2023.
Bursting with driving boom-bap grooves and punchy 808 beats, dreamy synths, funky guitar riffs, space-rock guitars, heady lyrics, emotive vocals, and sleek modern production, the songs on Days to Remember take their cues from indie-pop, hip-hop, and psych rock.
The album’s title track exudes 1980s synth-pop nostalgia with gurgling, Depeche Mode-style synths, coolly detached vocals, and an anthemic chorus. The track’s upbeat demeanor is in sharp contrast to its stinging betrayal narrative revealed in the climactic chorus refrain.
"Come Back. I wish Beck still made music like this. It's a hot day in LA and you're getting a taco while you're sweating out of your skin. Such a great vibe. Love the use of pads and backing vocals to create a really great chorus that pushes the lyrical narrative."
